Kate's 'Gotcha Day'!

I found these two video clips in our pictures of China. I didn't know how to put videos on the blog at the time, (don't know why, it was not hard), then just forgot about them. I was happy to discover them yesterday. Kate, here, is 20 mo. old.

Kate's first night with us in China.

A few days ago, our family celebrated Kate's 'Gotcha Day'. She has been with us for two years! It does not seem like it has been that long. We love her every bit as much as we thought we would. She is most definitely our daughter, and has filled our hearts with love.

After one of Kate's favorite "dinners" of pancakes, bacon and eggs, we lit 3 candles. The first was for her birth family, because they gave her life and brought her into this world. From the first candle, we lit the second candle...that was Kate. "Then we went to China on a plane and brought you home, and now we're all a family" and we lit the 3rd candle.

Yaaayyy!

Oooh, I just love presents! (One was a little plastic Dora, one was miniature fuzzy horses, and one was a little pink coin purse bought while we were in China.)

Ahhh...cupcakes with sprinkles. It just doesn't get any better than this. It's your special day, Kate!
