A great day was spent with family at Aunt Shannon's house. Behind Kate is the "grown-up" table. The kids and grown-up "kids" sat at another table. The little ones were so busy playing with their cousins, it was hard to get them to sit down long enough to eat!

Thanksgiving at Kate's school
Hey Kate, you look so cute, let me take a picture of you outside. And then the sillies start.
I have about 5 or 6 pictures of her being a goober, before I got one of her just standing still and smiling!

Kate at her Thanksgiving "feast". It doesn't change much from year to year...chicken dinosaurs, a small muffin, fruit and apple juice. But everyone is in a festive mood and happy.
One of the moms has a bakery business and makes the kids cookies. Kate is holding up her turkey cookie that she already bit the head off of! :)
Kate (4 1/2) and Mommy.
Now we need some playground time to burn off the sugar and the wiggles!
I love this picture...her face reminds me of her as a baby/toddler, and I love the look of excitement.
The playground is covered with big shady trees, and is a very pleasant place to be.

An Autumn Cutie
It will be a sad day when she outgrows Gymboree clothes!
Somehow Kate inherited my long, lanky build!
Actually, I'd give anything to see how her Chinese parents were built, and how tall they were. We hear constantly how tall she is for her age. Since our boys hear the same thing (McLaughlins tend to be big, tall guys), she sees this as a good thing. I still wonder, will she grow until she's 14 or so and then just stop, or will she end up being 5'10". I'm curious to see!!
Monkey see, monkey do.
(Mommy was sewing a lot in November and December!)
Out little sweet pea outside the playground at school. Her smile makes me happy. And she smiles a lot.

Hello, can I help you? Yes, I work here. Uh-huh, uh-huh. Okay. Yes, that's fine. Okay, bye-bye.
Hi Daddy. Yes, I'm busy working. I on the phone. I work here. Okay, see you later. Love you more. Bye.
Yes, I see your problem. Maybe you need lunch, or a nap. Are you hungry? Okay what do you want? What else? We don't have tacos. And what do you want to drink? Okay. Comin' right up. Thank you.
